TANGO ZERO - The next frontier
Remember to follow for the latest news and playable demo - don't miss out! Stay in the loop!
UFO sightings - who really believe them?
Break on through to the other side as you enter the cockpit as "Tango Zero", one of the most regarded alien space cowboys in the galaxy!
Your mothership needs YOU to acquire new energy by beaming up cattle while defending yourself from the cattle owners.
Enter the cockpit
Get ready for a unique experience, either by controlling everything yourself OR by playing the game as a CO-OP where you either fly the spaceship or man the overpowered space gun. But be careful - every action costs energy and the native people of earth is getting restless.
Either way, you'll need TWO joysticks - one for flying your spaceship and beaming up "energy", and one for controlling the space laser. They say the flying a helicopter is hard - why should flying a saucer be any easier?
Two Joysticks..... or one
In essens, Tango Zero, wants to be a fun, social, armpit-wetting CO-OP, where you have to work together to survive - So ideally, two joysticks are required - You can however play the game in single player mode, using just one joystick. Pressing S at the start screen, starts the game in single joystick mode. But there is a punishment, since shield is enabled upon flying upwards - so be extra careful about how you spend your precious fuel.
Key ingredients

UFO -
Isn't she a beauty! This is your vehicle - tender and gentle until you let her space canon rip!

This is the reason why you flew down here! Energy in it's purest form. Your mothership needs it, and you need it!

Comes in many shapes and sizes - Where ever you go, trouble follows. Inhabitants are not the keenest on you stealing their cows - and they fight back!
POWERUPS -
Goodies for your ship. Turbos, mass destruction and time manipulation!
CLOUD -
Have you ever seen "Nope"?

Meteors are pretty....

Cheers mate! πΈπ½
it's a great game, thank you. I added it to my video along with other games released in April.
Thank you so much! Your YouTube channel is a great gift to the community! πΈπ½
We took another look at the game in the new version 1.1 and this time we even made it to level 2. Our German-language review can be found at 03:25:10. English subtitles are also available. π
Once again a great show! Thank you for giving Tango Zero a second chance! You did really well - in outer space we often say "It takes two to tango but humans never gets past level 1" - are you sure you are 100% human? ;-)π½πΈ
At least with my colleague, I'm not so sure anymore. One minute he's French, and the next he's "Udo Lindenberg." ππ€£
Completely forgotten to tell you: we have published a nice little article about your game!
https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2026-04-00081-EN.html
Iβd be interested to know how many users ended up on your site via our article compared to other coverage...
Nice one! Thank you!!
Let me know if I can provide any metrics!
Great game with a crazy story & gameplay idea and very innovative controls. Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, we didn't make it to the next level. Our German-language review can be found at 03:23:39. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. π
First and foremost thank you for a great show!
And thank you for featuring my game!
A few pointers - to complete a level you need to have +1000 points before time runs out (a voice is saying 3 minutes... 2 minutes... 1 minute to let you). You actually got very close ;-)
Second point - every action costs fuel - I saw that from the second time you played you had the beamer on the whole time - that costs a lot of fuel and should only be used shortly when directly over a cow. The second the cow gets locked-in by the beam you can release the fire button.
Third - The one who controls the gun also controls the shield. By pressing the joystick up, you engage the shield so that no bullets can harm you - however - shield cost fuel - so use only short bursts.
With these hints - you should be able to get to the next level - featuring submarines! Watch out - that level is tricky, but there is a strategy that helps you if you can figure it out. Next level is Panzer train - It helps a lot if you've watched a movie whose title rimes with 'dope'.
Again, thank you for a great show - it also allowed me to dust off my german - which is where I will have my summer vacation :-)
Thank you so much for all the helpful tips. We'll show the game again in the next "RetroVision - Plug & Play" show, which is our usual standard livestream. Another colleague will probably be there as a second player, so we can give it another try. βΊοΈJust in case you happen to be spending your vacation near Cologne in August, please feel free to visit us at Gamescom, the world's largest gaming trade fair. We could potentially showcase your game there for a large number of visitors. You can find us in Hall 10.2 in the "Retro Area." π
Would be absolutely fantastic if you would show it in Plug & Play - also remember that you can press 's' on the cowboy screen to start the game in one joystick mode - but two player is more fun!
Always wanted to see Cologne - I might take you up on that :-) Gamescom is supposed to be awesome! Would be fun to host a competition where teams of two fight for the Tango Zero hi-score!
Remembering: i want a super-duper-deluxe- Box, too! NeoHippie2016 alias Markus Steffan!
Ordering of boxes opens tomorrow! β₯οΈπΈπ½
Great game!
Thank you Saberman - Im Humble and pale compared to you :-)
sure I need the special collector box!
Noted! And thanks a lot! I will get back to you when pre-orders open πΈ
Please get in contact if this great box is available. I need it.... :-)
I certainly will! And thank you!
More info once we get closer to the release date :-) stay tuned
Hi,
Thank you for reply.

Michael

It is! I guarantee it! Best played with a friend but one player is possible... :-)
Yes, it seems like a very cool game. And this need a box! I want to buy one!
I am a game collector, it would be great to get a large box of Tang Zero.
Thank you! So nice to see - I'll keep you posted :-)
Nice look forward to playing this. Love the two joysticks idea.
Thanks!! It ain't easy on your own I'll tell ya! Really fun as co-op!
Think I'll grow an extra brain π§ trying to guide the ufo and aim the space gun at the same time!
